Increase in Will Instructions
Posted on 01 Apr 2020
It has recently been reported that Will instructions have increased by 30 % as a result of the current health crisis. At Swayne Johnson, our staff are working hard at dealing with enquiries and accepting Will and LPA instructions via telephone and video conferencing, wherever possible.
Adhering to the strict rules that apply to signing Wills whilst adhering to social distancing rules has become a challenge though and the Ministry of Justice is currently considering a temporary relaxation of the rules.
Whilst perhaps this could be a welcome step for many, we must not forget the elderly and vulnerable. We can’t help thinking that even a temporary relaxation in the Wills is likely to result in an increase in fraud and undue influence.
Whatever happens, it’s never been more important to have a Will professionally prepared. Do not take the risk – speak to a solicitor.
Our Will experts are here to help and offer peace of mind. Use our referral form to send us your enquiry today.
